Austin is a skilled civil litigation attorney who focuses his practice on complex commercial disputes, real estate litigation, and insurance litigation in both state and federal court. He holds a Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a bachelor’s degree in public relations from the University of Alabama and is a licensed member of the North Carolina State Bar.

Having litigated multiple trials and arbitrations, Austin is a personable and persuasive individual, using his holistic understanding of the litigation process, from fact gathering in the initial investigation through trial, to present large amounts of complicated information in a manner that is concise and approachable.

Austin’s strong organizational skills enable him to begin an engagement with a thorough understanding of the facts and legal issues to develop legal strategies, provide honest advice to the client, and to handle all aspects of complex arbitration, litigation, trial, and other dispute resolutions.

Raised in a long line of construction workers, Austin grew up around the industry and became a litigator to represent the hard-working people who build our communities from the ground up. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Austin worked with the Justice Access Initiative to assist North Carolina courts in creating a comprehensive plan to resume jury trials.

Austin is an Eagle Scout and a member of the North Carolina Lawyers Weekly Rising Stars Class of 2021, a program that recognizes lawyers who have been out of law school 10 years or less and have made a strong impact in the legal community.

When he is not fighting for his clients, Austin enjoys watching college football (Roll Tide!), skiing, and spending time with his golden retrievers.
